Interview with…….Brady Pollock

After starting his racing career at WSC in the City Car Cup and quickly establishing himself as a rapid, clean racer who is comfortable at the sharp end of the grid. In 2026 he has moved from the City Car Cup to the ST240 series as he makes his way up the motorsport ladder.

Question 1 - Who are you and what do you race? - I’m Brady Pollock, I’m 20 years old originally from South Africa and I’m currently racing in the AIRTEC Motorsport Fiesta ST240 Championship with Jamsport. This is my first season in the championship after moving up from the City Car Cup.

Question 2 - What got you into motorsport? - Motorsport has always been a huge part of my family. Growing up I’d watch Formula One with my dad every weekend, and from a young age I knew I wanted to be involved in racing somehow. The speed, the competition and everything that goes into racing completely hooked me.

Question 3 - What is your dream car, track and era combination and why? - It would have to be a McLaren F1 GTR at Le Mans in the 1990s. Everything about that era looked incredible, the sound of the V12, the manual H-pattern gearbox and the speeds they were reaching down the Mulsanne Straight before the chicanes. It must have been one of the greatest driving experiences ever.

Question 4 - You've moved from City Car Cup to the Fiesta ST240 Championship, what have been the biggest differences between the two series? - The difference is honestly night and day. You’ve got nearly three times the power, slick tyres, an LSD, much bigger brakes and a turbo, so everything happens much quicker. The biggest adjustment for me has been learning how to get the slick tyres into their operating window for that first qualifying lap, and then managing both the tyres and brakes properly over a race distance.

Question 5 - What do you wish someone had told you before you started racing? - That not every weekend is going to be a good one. Motorsport is full of highs and lows, and sometimes you learn more from the difficult weekends than the successful ones. The most important thing is to enjoy the journey because we’re incredibly lucky to do what we love.

Question 6 - What's your favourite Rocked-IT product and why? - For me it’s the Rocked-IT kit bag. It’s surprising how much gear you can fit into it, helmet, race suit, boots, gloves and HANS device all in one compact bag. It makes travelling to race weekends so much easier.

Question 7 - Motorsport looks like an individual sport but it requires a team behind you. Who deserves a special mention? - There isn’t just one person because motorsport is such a team effort. My family have supported me every step of the way, and I wouldn’t be here without them. I’d also like to mention Alan and Jamie for believing in me and giving me the opportunities to be able to race and be where I am today. Their trust means a lot, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything they’ve done.
