Interview With…….Will Fallon

Former JSCC racer Will Fallon in next to face the Parkinson style questions of the Rocked-IT Interview With series. Having moved from the FWD JSCC Saxo to the powerful RWD Ginetta this season he’s had year to remember!

Question 1 - Who are you and what do you race? - My name is Will Fallon and I am racing in the Ginetta GT-Academy for the 2026 season, running our own car as a privateer alongside my dad

Question 2 - What got you into motorsport? - My motorsport journey started with bambino's at Buckmore Park for a bit of fun, which after enjoying that, and getting the itch for more, then turned more serious and more expensive after that!

Question 3 - What is your dream car, track and era combination and why? - A dream drive would have to be the Mazda 787B around Spa, with that famous rotary noise climbing up Raidillon.

Question 4 - You are in your first season of Ginetta racing, what's been the biggest shock vs what you were expecting? - The biggest shock for myself racing in my first season of Ginettas is how friendly the paddock is. With the championship being of such a high level and competitiveness, we were expecting it to be very much cloak and daggers. With it being the first time we have ran our own car, we often have many questions which there is always someone happy to answer and advise, a highlight of this was when multiple mechanics from Ginetta and Orion SPR, helped rush to try and get me out at Oulton park after an incident in a race earlier in the day.

Question 5 - You have raced from a young age, how have you been able to use the skills you've learnt in your career? - Having raced from a young age, it has taught me that many skills in racing come from hard work instead of raw talent. A key thing I have learnt is that each session will be different, and may even be slower, but also accepting that this is required for data gathering to ensure the car is at its optimum for when it matters. I have also learnt how important the media side of motorsport is and use this to optimize my publicity whenever possible.

Question 6 - What's your favourite Rocked-IT product and why? - My favourite Rocked-IT product has got to be the bobble-hat, there's nothing worse than winter testing with freezing cold ears. The lovely woolly liner almost makes you too hot!

Question 7 - Motorsport looks like an individual sport but it requires a team behind you. Who deserves a special mention? - Motorsport is definitely a team sport, for every minute on track there’s hours of preparation, planning, driving, loading, paperwork and much more that goes on behind the scenes. The people that deserve a special mention would have to be my family, who have always been supportive of my racing and being patient with the amount of time spent away racing and working on the car. And my Dad who makes it all possible with all the hard work and massive financial support, being team manager, sponsor, mechanic, truck driver, data engineer etc etc.
