Interview with…….Liam Browning
Liam Browning is no stranger to the motorsport paddock, from Caterhams, to BMWs and City Cars to the Fiesta ST150 he’s raced across the UK with great success. A long term supporter of Rocked-IT his opinions are always interesting!
Question 1 - Who are you and what do you race? - Hi I'm Liam Browning currently racing the Durley Garage ST150 Challenge.
Question 2 - What got you into motorsport? - I got the bug from dad competing on the ovals (got a photo from the album) and always watching racing events at Brands Hatch from 4 years old - that started the racing bug which led to karts to where we are now.
Question 3 - What is your dream car, track and era combination and why? - Hard choice so have two:
Supertouring BTCC era (Laguna or Primera for me) - Brands GP
90's Era GT (787B, F1 GTR, 911GT1, CLK GTR) - Le Mans
Nothing comes close to this period for me - obscene budgets, fat to over engineered for its time & brutal performance!
Question 4 - You have raced a few different things, what has been your favourite race and why? - Has to be the V8 E46 M3 GTR I done a round in at Silverstone as an invitational into the BRSCC Clubsport Trophy - was nice to experience a fully purpose built race car with 550+ Hp, Slicks, Sequential gearbox & some aero that actually worked - to be mixing it with factory built race cars like G55's, TCR's & Radicals was really some experience - Thank you to A Mackenzie & Bitcoin Racing for the opportunity - There is some plans in motion to get back out in the car this year.
Question 5 - What do you wish someone had told you before you started racing? - Money grows on trees (still haven't found one)
Question 6 - What's your favourite Rocked-IT product and why? - Has to be the kit bag - I can fit all my racegear in one place yet the bag is so small compared to its competitors, can be customised and most of all how competitively priced it is.

Question 7 - Motorsport looks like an individual sport but it requires a team behind you. Who deserves a special mention? - Nothing about motorsport is individual as you know - only the part where we selfishly press the pedals and get a bit handsy which is what the spectators soley see.
